R.I.P. Jim Shooter passed last week. Jim was Editor In Chief of Marvel, writer, artist, editor and importantly he institued a royalty program which I and my family greatly benefited from. I met Jim in 1980 but knew of him since about 1967. I was fortunate to hang out at shows with him and join him for many meals. In 1986 after I'd been working years for Marvel he flew me from San Antonio Texas to the Marvel offices in NYC! I spent the week meeting editors and working in the BULLPEN on The Invincible Iron Man & The Eternals comicbooks. I got to see Steve Ditko & several other creators dropping off work & and picking up assignments! Jim was always professional and personable to me plus he gave me work non-stop!
