Congratulations to these amazing students! Also, thanks to all the orchestra teachers that inspired these students and changed their lives!

Tonight we celebrated one of my favorite Permian Orchestra traditions — our Senior Pinning Ceremony.

For 11 years, I’ve had the privilege of presenting our seniors with a pin as my gift to them for giving four years of their lives to the Permian Orchestra.

It’s a small pin, but it represents a lot: rehearsals, concerts, trips, friendships, victories, frustrations, laughter, and thousands of notes played together.

To the Permian Orchestra Class of 2027: thank you for staying the course and for being part of this program. No matter where life takes you from here, you will always be part of the MOJO Orchestra family. Once a Panther, Always a Panther! 🐾

See you Saturday!

Discover the craftsmanship and skill used to create historic fiddles this Saturday, Aug. 8 during Strings Through Time | Ranch Life Summer Series! will demonstrate the processes of creating these culturally significant instruments by hand. Join us in the Cash Family Ranch Life Learning Center from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Don't forget your Ranching passport!

Why are fiddles important? When early immigrants traveled overseas, many brought with them their musical traditions primarily played on the fiddle. Fiddle music played an essential role int he cultural life of 18th-century Americans as it was commonly played at home and in public. Fiddles continue to be popular instruments in Western music.

Ranch Life Summer Series programs are free to the public.
