Morfran, Dark Lord Reformed ★ ★ ★ ★

As The Dark Lord of Ruthven™, Morfran the Beheader instilled fear in the hearts of his enemies. Now he just wants raise goats and make his jams (hoping one day to win the Blue Ribbon at the fair). That plan is entirely upended when he is captured by a group of rebels while trying to escape the clutches of his ex-wife. In order to save himself, he agrees to help lead the rebels to victory against... himself.

This book reads like a Monty Python skit. It was such an enjoyable time. There are wild antics around every turn and I just couldn't put it down because I kept wanting to find out what silly things Morfran and his band of misfit rebels would run into next. If you enjoy books that don't take themselves too seriously and are curious about beardpunzels, then this book is for you. All-in-all this book was a great time.
