💻🧶 Meet Debbie, the wizard behind our online store at nauticalyarn.com …
A few years ago, during COVID, we gave nauticalyarn.com a much bigger role — and today, every product in our shop is available online.
Sounds simple, right? Click, upload, done? Not quite. 😄
There is a tremendous amount of work that goes into keeping the online store accurate and easy to use. Inventory counts have to be right. Product descriptions need to include fiber content, weight, gauge, needle and hook sizes. Every color needs the correct name, number, and photo. Then everything has to be categorized, uploaded, tested, connected to sites like Ravelry, and kept updated as new colors arrive or yarns sell out.
And somehow, Debbie keeps all of this moving. 💛
Since the beginning of the year, we’ve shipped orders to 47 states and to customers in Canada, Spain, New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong, and the United Kingdom. That still amazes me.
Debbie, thank you for all the care, patience, and hard work you put into making nauticalyarn.com such a success. It truly doesn’t happen by itself.

The Lindal Taschlein Bag Class is coming to Nautical Yarn August 11, and this project is packed with personality. Use stash yarn, self-striping yarn, or ombré yarn with a solid accent color to make it completely your own.
The clever design is created with knitted short rows, and the finished size depends on the needle size you choose. That means every bag can turn out a little different — just like every maker. 🧶
