Almost two years ago, when Read & Rally Studio was still just an idea, someone told me, “I can’t wait to see where you are in a year.”
My response was basically, “Let’s see if I’m even still doing it by then.” 😂
In November 2024, I impulsively decided I wanted to start something of my own. By January 2025, Read & Rally Studio officially began, and now, somehow, here we are.
What started with a bookmark and a 3D printer turned into bookish products, shelves full of books, relationships with authors and other local businesses, book clubs, community events and an actual bookstore on wheels.
There have been plenty of mistakes, late nights, moments of doubt and times when I’ve wondered what in the world I got myself into. But then I look at Scout, the community that has welcomed us and this article telling our story, and I realize just how far this impulsive little idea has come.
Thank you to and Sophia Lynn Blackwell for sharing my story, and thank you to every single person who has purchased something, visited Scout, shared a post, invited us to an event or simply encouraged me to keep going.
And, of course, thank you to my family for supporting every wild idea, helping turn those ideas into something real and never once discouraging our slightly impulsive habits. I definitely couldn’t have built this without you.
Apparently, I’m still doing it, and we’re only getting started. 💚
