🚨 ROCKY NEEDS A HOME — and we need to find his person quickly. Please share! ❤️🐾

This sweet little guy is Rocky. He belonged to a dear friend of mine who is now in long-term care and can no longer care for him.

Rocky is 14 years old and just 12 pounds — a little senior gentleman whose primary career goal at this point is apparently Professional Snuggle Companion. And by all reports, he is VERY good at his job.

❤️ He loves to snuggle
🐾 He’s good with other dogs
🧸 He’s starting to discover that toys are actually pretty fun
🐱 He lived with a cat for eight years. He did chase the cat, but never hurt him. (I can personally vouch for this because I now have the cat!)
❤️ Mostly, he just wants someone to love and a cozy place to land.

Rocky is currently safe and being fostered by one of my wonderful besties in Columbia, Maryland, but this is temporary. We need to find him a forever home — and we need to do it quickly.

I know the right person is out there. Maybe it’s you. Maybe it’s your mom, your neighbor, your friend who has been talking about wanting a little companion. Maybe you know someone who would absolutely adore having a sweet 12-pound snugglebug curled up beside them.

We're taking a trip in the wayback machine today—all the way back to 2018 and one of our past Mystery Classes!

This is Elsie the Elephant by A Kimberly Design, and after all these years, my Elsie is finally framed. YAY!

She's adorable from the tip of her trunk to the tip of her tiny braided tail. Silk flowers abound, there are fabulous stitches and textures everywhere, and of course there's that wonderful border that only Kimberly could design.

But my favorite part might be the simplest.

Every Mystery Class has a coordinating magnet, and Elsie's features the little elephant herself. Rather than putting it away somewhere, we incorporated it right into the framing. She's sitting there on the frame looking absolutely stinking cute. 💕

I also have photos of another Elsie finished as a pillow so you can see two completely different ways to finish the same canvas.

And if our little trip back to 2018 makes you want an Elsie of your own, she's in stock! The canvas comes complete with my stitch guide. Complete kits can ship...well...soonish, depending on the threads. 😄

Meet the Merry Makers! 🎄

I have a new club, and this one is just plain fun.

Five wonderfully whimsical holiday characters, each with fabulous stitches, fun threads, embellishments and plenty of personality.

The Merry Makers Club begins in October 2026, with a new project shipping every other month. Each 18-count canvas is approximately 4½" x 6½" and comes complete with my stitch guide.

Each shipment is $165 plus shipping for the canvas and stitch guide, with an optional thread kit available.

Secret Garden is growing!⁠

Lesson Two of our was all about creating depth without changing the wonderfully whimsical perspective of the artwork.⁠
⁠
The gate is now beaded, pulling it into the foreground. The little roof over the front door sparkles for the same reason. But my favorite part has to be the stone globes on top of the garden wall.⁠
⁠
Those are stitched with crescent stitches that follow the painted highlights on the canvas. It was a fun little experiment to see if the stitches themselves could create the illusion of a rounded surface...and they absolutely do.⁠

We also added the grass and planting beds, and now the garden is ready for what comes next.⁠
⁠
Ribbon you probably knew it was only a matter of time. 😊⁠

Every time I teach with this ribbon, someone asks...⁠
⁠
"What IS that?"⁠
⁠
It's our new Multi-Metallic Ribbon, and it doesn't stay just one color. Pinks melt into blues, greens, and golds, catching the light in a way that's almost impossible to photograph.⁠
⁠
A little tip from this 18-count girlie: this isn't a basketweave thread. It's happiest in long stitches, laid fillings, and special accents where you want the ribbon to shine. Trust me... it's worth the extra attention.⁠
