2026 HOUSE OF VACUUM'S PREDICTIONS! 🔮

2025 was a fight. From April through October tariffs put a huge dent in our sales numbers. That being said, after many late nights we got creative, fought through it and somehow magically came out AT GOAL for the year. We are so grateful for our loyal customers that continue to show up time and time again!

What will 2026 bring? Increased market share by cordless vacuums. Customers are more than willing to overlook some cordless shortcomings for the added convenience of vacuuming untethered. Riccar really crushed the space this year with the release of the following, surprisingly affordable, cordless vacs: R65, R70, R27CV and sister-branded Simplicity S67. Sebo also started shipping the Balance A1 cordless in December, meaning it will be a hot item through '26 as well.

As we expand our name recognition regionally, we will also see repairs grow. This year we took in 409 repairs and it would not be surprising if we hit 500 in '26. Some of this will be driven by continued high prices of consumer goods. During times of economic uncertainty, people are more inclined to repair if possible.

In the vacuum market, Sebo and Miele's sales will continue to grow based on their buzz and the quality of their offerings (you know which I prefer!) and Shark will also grow because their marketing could sell people a broom as a vacuum.

Dyson will contract like it did in 2025. Their pricing is the highest in the cordless space already, but their profit margins have dropped massively. They can't raise prices further because the market won't accept it, which leaves them in a precarious situation as the only way to increase profit is to sell more units in a market that is extremely saturated. Just like when iRobot was eclipsed by cheaper, better Chinese robot vacuums, Dyson's commitment to cordless leaves them exposed to the exponential growth of quality Chinese/Vietnamese sourced sticks.

It's the end of the year and I'm going over the sales numbers. Just like last year, we sold more canisters than uprights. Because of that, we also sold more Sebo vacs than Riccar because Riccar no longer has a full-sized canister option. The big takeaways are that the cordless segment continues to grow for us. The percentage sold grows every year and will likely be our largest area of growth for 2026. Also, out of our brands the vast majority are made up of four: Sebo, Riccar, Simplicity and Titan. For models, the Sebo E3 walked away with this competition by a large margin. Last year it's lead was smaller, but it was still our best selling vac. The best selling vacs for 2025 are:

NOTE: The Riccar R25 was replaced in Q3 by the R27. If you combine their numbers, they would be in the top 10. We will almost certainly see the R27 gain a place in the top 10 next year.
