Come celebrate 50 wonderful years of Givens Books with us on Saturday, August 15, from 12–5 PM! We’ll have sweet treats, plenty of fun, and—most importantly—the chance to watch Danny get dunked in the dunk tank. 😂💦

A little history in the making… Danny and Anneli’s very first post together.
For 50 years, Givens Books & Little Dickens has been more than a bookstore—it has been a gathering place, a childhood memory, a family tradition, and a beloved piece of Lynchburg.

As Danny passes the torch to Anneli, we’re honoring everything that made Givens what it is while looking forward to everything still to come. The hands may change, but the heart of this place remains the same. 📚✨

We’ll be celebrating throughout August, leading up to our BIG 50th Anniversary Bash on Saturday, August 15 from 12pm-5pm! We hope you’ll join us as we celebrate five decades of books, imagination, community, and all of you who have helped write this story.
Here’s to honoring the past—and turning the page together.
