We enjoyed a wonderful evening of music at Westminster Canterbury! Dad even got in on the fun and played “Fiddle Faddle.”

Kevin Matheson was tremendous on the violin and Adelaide mesmerized the audience with her incredible range and vocal styling. Just about perfection!

Melia was fabulous on the piano.

It was a beautiful trio and an enjoyable and entertaining evening.

Do you know what is going on at New Covenant Schools in June?

They are hosting a two week strings camp for public and private school kids, home schoolers, adult community members and even some pros.

In this little school, nestled in a sleepy neighborhood, a great thing is happening. The young students have an amazing opportunity to play their string instruments together with dedicated, talented and compassionate teachers, Christi Salisbury Howell and Teresa Angell. They are learning music fundamentals while having FUN.

The older (community group) is tackling professional, symphony level repertoire. It is a tremendous opportunity for budding musicians to take part in such magic under the baton of one of the most seasoned, talented and respected musicians in Lynchburg, Joe Nigro.

We love it so much that these astonishing opportunities are available to student musicians in this town.

Keep up the great work New Covenant!

By the way, the first concert will be this Friday at noon at the school. All are welcome!

Beginner’s Luck is an ensemble for adults who are dusting off their instrument from years ago or who have just started studying. It is an encouraging and supportive environment with our great conductor Eric Hollandsworth!

Looking for an excellent camp for your string students? Check this out!

Every summer, Allegro teachers Dr. and Mrs. Dovgalyuk host the Liya camp, where young musicians further their musicianship through group rehearsals and classes. Their goal is to develop students' musical gifts in order to make a meaningful impact in God's Kingdom!

Campers have the option to participate in strings (violin, viola, cello, bass), tone chime choir, keyboard, voice, or worship (any instrument). We highly recommend this unique opportunity!
