We are a Southern Heritage Store and have a passion for our Southern Heritage! Our goal is to educate anyone willing to learn the Truth about the War for Southern Independence. Being a Dixie Outfitter Franchise is our way of doing just that! We opened our Store in Manchester, Tennessee in 2007 and in 2010 and had the opportunity to move our store to the Historic Town of Lynchburg, located in Moore County Tennessee. We enjoyed meeting new people and promoting Southern Heritage in a positive way! We encourage everyone to seek out the Truth about the "Flag" and what it TRULY represented to those who fought and died for what they believed in. We both love our Heritage, and respect the Heritage of others. We can only sum up our reasons for choosing this way of life, by sharing a Poem by Edward Ward Carmack (1858 - 1908) -

The South is a land that has known sorrow; it is a land that has broken the ashen crust and moistened it with tears; a land scarred and riven by the plowshare of war and billowed with the graves of her dead; but a land of legend, a land of song, a land of hallowed and heroic memories. To that land every drop of my blood, every fibre of my being, every pulsation of my heart, is consecrated forever. I was born of her womb; I was nurtured at her breast; and when my last hour shall come, I pray God that I may be pillowed upon her bosom and rocked to sleep within her tender and encircling arms. This poem is on a marker at the Beech Grove Battlefield and Cemetery off I-24 exit 97. (yet another must see if you happen to be visiting the area)

There will be several NEW vendors at this week's Lynchburg Farmer's Market!

Some will be arriving at 11AM, while other will be arriving at the new posted times 3-6PM.
More than likely you will find SOMEONE there throughout the day.

Since the Lynchburg Market "IS AVAILABLE" all day, I thought I'd let you know who will be there and when. I'm looking forward to a great Friday at the Lynchburg Farmer's Market and I hope you are too!!!

IF YOU'D LIKE TO BE INCLUDED IN THE LIST OF VENDORS FOR THIS WEEK - PLEASE SUBMIT THE PRODUCTS YOU WILL HAVE ON HAND WITH PICTURES, IF YOU HAVE THEM, AND YOUR ESTIMATED TIME OF ARRIVAL IN THE COMMENTS.

The following vendors will be arriving early at 11AM:

- Bless Your Skin- Featuring their very popular Pain Salve, and baked goods - arriving at 11AM
- Repurposed Jeans - Handmade Bags, Purses and Wallets, and Apple Butter - arriving at 11AM;
- Cooper Branch Farm - Elderberry Syrup & Herbal Teas - arriving at 11AM and there all day.

The following vendors will be there from 3-6pm:

- Paisley Farms - Fresh Organic Produce & Flowers - Arriving at 3PM

I would like to clarify things regarding Lynchburg's Farmer's Market. I spoke to the Mayor first thing this morning, as I also wanted to be clear about the hours and not falsely advertise it.
He was unaware that the signs had gone up, nor that the market had hours listed. He told me that the pavilion was available throughout the day for anyone to set up, even all day if they choose to. Since the hours ARE posted - why not just go with it? I get questions every week about the hours. People like to know when hours of operation are.
I am also encouraging other vendors from other Farmer's Markets to attend. These are farmers who make their living at the markets, and also need regular hours. Over the last month, there has only been 3-4 vendors in Lynchburg, and no one with much produce to offer. This last week - everyone was looking for tomatoes, but there were none. I'm trying to help provide more choices to the fine people of our community during hours that are more convenient by getting the word out and encouraging more choices.
If anyone would like to setup at a different time, please feel free to, and let people know you're there.
