The Sweet Southern Spirit General Store is located in a historic 1912 bank building. The store building was built in 1912; the original bank vault is still in the store! Visiting the General Store is like taking a trip back in time to the simpler days when going to the General Store was depended upon for food, supplies, and neighborly news updates. While you sip on a glass bottle of Coca-Cola or one of our many other flavors of soda and enjoy an old fashioned shopping experience as your footsteps echo on the wooden floors of our over 100 year old building, you will find a mix of extraordinary merchandise, old time candy, handmade tipsy cakes, hand crafted whiskey fudges (24 flavors), collectibles and gifts. Don't forget to sample our fudges, cakes, salsas, hot sauces, BBQ sauces, and other wonderful hand crafted food items. All of our store brand products are handmade right here in Lynchburg, TN. In addition to carrying our famous handcrafted cakes and candies made with spirits, our General Store carries a wide variety of locally sourced honey, sorghum, caramel and fudge sauces, and many other food products! When you're done at the general store be sure to stop by the Candy Kitchen located next door to sample our delicious handcrafted truffles, cherries and bacon infused with your favorite selection of spirits and dipped in indulgent toppings!

A big thank you to Cadence Bank in Huntsville for ordering your client Christmas gift boxes from us. I just love how God sends friends and strangers to bless our little shop in Lynchburg. Our handmade fudge, truffles, jellies, jams and coffee are always a hit.
