Somewhere between the warmth of the sun and the movement of the wind through the flowers, everything feels a little softer.

I think this painting was really just an attempt to hold onto that feeling for a little longer. To take a breath I didn’t know I needed. To feel a little peace amidst this month of chaos.

Continuous line drawing. Loving the angles of this one.

Does anyone else use their chair as a rag for their paint brush? Just me? 😅
This big guy has been a work in progress for months. I started with a digital painting that was initially just me playing with colors and fell in love with it. I printed that version and used it as my reference for this 40x30” acrylic painting.
If you’re local you’ll be able to see this at in May for their Big Works Exhibition!

It’s finally finished. I love this one for so many reasons. And entered it to hopefully be part of a very special show 🤞...

I was trying to do a limited pallet painting and felt so stuck. Every time I looked at the painting it just didn’t feel like me.
I paint from a very emotion based place regardless of what my subject may be. It’s the act of painting that releases emotion for me. It’s healing and energy and everything that I struggling releasing.
So of course I had to just let loose. Get rid of the limited pallet and be authentic to what my expression needed. Which is almost always, more color and lots of playful elements that don’t always make much sense.
It’s still far from done but I feel so much better 🤍
