In 1964, the Friends of the Lynchburg Public Library formed and developed a grassroots campaign to establish a “Library to Serve All Citizens.”

Since the establishment of the Lynchburg Public Library in 1966, the Friends have promoted literacy, advocated for the development of library services, encouraged community support, and funded projects to support library services by providing equipment, materials and programs.

We are hiring a Retail Manager at Mission Thrift Wards!

The Retail Manager will be responsible for leading the management of the store (2-3 years of management experience). He/she will work closely with the general manager to oversee store operations, employee responsibilities, employee scheduling, store environment, POS system, admin assistance and event planning. The Retail Manager is also responsible for upholding our culture of care and hospitality to the team, volunteers, and customers.
