Occasionally, between raising calves, researching whatever completely random subject my brain has selected for the day, and writing Facebook posts that start with one Bible verse and somehow end 1,500 words and three historical rabbit trails later, I apparently also write books.
Although, technically, these books are my posts. Both books started as the Bible posts I shared right here on Facebook and were eventually compiled, edited, organized and turned into actual books. So if you've ever thought you would like to read through one of my Bible series without having to search through several years of calf pictures, Jersey chaos, farm stories, random history lessons and whatever subject I happened to become interested in that day, Tall Girl Publishing has helped to conveniently put page numbers on them now.
Luke: The Greatest Love Story Ever Told
This one came from my Luke series and follows the Gospel chapter by chapter. We start with the events surrounding Jesus' birth and keep going through His ministry, the people He encountered, the things He taught, the cross and the resurrection. Basically, if you like the posts where we stop in the middle of a familiar Bible story and go, āWait. Why did they do THAT?ā and then wander into the history and culture until suddenly the story you've known since Sunday school looks completely different, this is that. Except now it has a cover and you don't have to scroll past seventeen calves to find the next chapter.

Revelation: An Insightful Chapter-by-Chapter Journey Through the Book of Revelation
This one came from my Revelation posts, because apparently I looked at the book involving dragons, beasts, seals, trumpets, bowls, lampstands, mysterious numbers and enough symbolism to keep Christians discussing it until approximately the end of time and thought, āYep. Let's write about that.ā
But Revelation is also so much more than the scary book hiding at the back of the Bible or a giant code we're supposed to crack by matching every current event to a horn somewhere. When you slow down and work through it chapter by chapter, there is an incredible amount of history, symbolism, Old Testament connections and, underneath all of it, hope.
Spoiler: Jesus wins.

Amazon isn't the only option either. The books are distributed through IngramSpark, which means bookstores can order them through the Ingram distribution system. And if you're local, Connections Christian Store in Lynden carries signed copies and can ship them too.
If you're outside the United States, search your local Amazon for Erica DeWaard and the book title since the links and availability vary by country.
And since simply posting links and wandering away seems considerably less interesting, here's a question:
You get to witness ONE event from the Bible in person. Which one are you choosing?
You actually have to choose just one.
The Red Sea splitting would be pretty hard to beat. But then there's creation. Elijah on Mount Carmel. David and Goliath. Daniel and the lions. The birth of Jesus. Jesus calming the storm. The crucifixion. The resurrection.
Actually, I have created a question that I personally cannot answer.
Your turn.
