WINKY WEEKLY UPDATE (Unexpected Plot Twist Edition): 🚨

Well... Aaron had BIG plans for this week's video. Unfortunately, his right knee had other ideas and apparently filed for early retirement. 😑 After an unexpected trip to the ER, he's now sporting crutches and a suspected torn meniscus. The official verdict won't arrive until Thursday, but for now he's been diagnosed with "Absolutely Not Walking Around a Five & Dime."

So there won't be a weekly video this week. We know... we're disappointed too. Mostly because Aaron was planning to show off new products, not the hospital waiting room.

The good news? Winky Smeeker's Five & Dime is still open, the crew is holding down the fort, and Aaron is already trying to negotiate with his knee like it's a stubborn customer. Please wish him a speedy recovery—and if you see him trying to race through the store on crutches next week, kindly remind him that he's not 22 anymore. 😂

Thanks for sticking with us every week. We'll be back as soon as Aaron's knee decides to stop being so dramatic!

NEWS THAT MATTERS: Young Winky has occupied the front window and declared himself Supreme Emperor of the Sandcastle Kingdom. Negotiations have failed.

Meanwhile, Aaron introduces a griddle cleaning kit by showing off the box and explaining everything that's inside, reveals cooler bags that are cooler than most people, a steel fire poker that looks ready to challenge a dragon, and Bigfoot sandals—because apparently Bigfoot finally got tired of stepping on Legos.

Aaron also shares the story of how he got hurt at his regular job. One simple arm movement somehow convinced the muscles along his ribcage that breathing should become an optional activity. Science is still investigating.

We also show off some custom laser engraving created for Tapistry and Do-B's, talk a little about why the "What's New?" shelf isn't multiplying quite as fast these days, and, as always, wrap things up with the traditional collection of bloopers and extra looks at our brand-new sandcastle window display.

So grab a snack, hit play, leave us a comment, and share the video with your favorite sandcastle engineer. And if Bigfoot wanders through town wearing sandals... you'll know exactly where he got them.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: Scientists have confirmed this week's video escaped from the lab before it could be properly contained.

Inside you'll find returning meat choppers (they've completed their migration and are safely back in stock), an incense scent that may or may not summon curious neighbors, and the glorious Valomilk candy bar—made just a few miles from here and scientifically proven to disappear the moment you unwrap it.

Aaron and Loki also returned from the FBLA National Conference, where Loki represented our community in spectacular fashion, had an amazing time, and made us all proud. We've included a few photos from the trip because apparently they spent at least some of the time doing things other than hunting for free snacks.

Then comes the weather.

The disc golf tournament was attacked by rain, thunder, lightning, and what can only be described as Mother Nature yelling, "ABSOLUTELY NOT!" Instead of becoming the world's tallest lightning rod, Aaron wisely stayed home and transformed into a low-budget sports broadcaster, complete with hand-drawn tournament graphics that would make a second grader say, "You know...that's actually not bad."

It's informative. It's educational. It's mildly concerning.

So grab a Valomilk, admire some championship-level stick figures, celebrate Loki's FBLA adventure, and enjoy another week of delightful nonsense from Winky Smeeker's Five & Dime.

If you laugh—even just one unexpected snort—we'd love it if you'd Like, Share, and Comment. Every click helps our little hometown store reach new friends, keeps these wonderfully ridiculous videos alive, and reminds Aaron that drawing tournament highlights instead of attending them is apparently acceptable entertainment.

As always, thank you for supporting our small business and for proving, week after week, that there's no such thing as too much Winky.

It's gonna be hot waiting for the fireworks show. Don't forget to pick up an umbrella to keep the sun off. Stay safe this weekend!

Warning: This week's video contains nostalgic candy, zombie kittens, and a scale that may know too much.

Join Aaron as he wanders through Winky Smeeker's Five & Dime on a mission fueled almost entirely by sugar and curiosity. He revisits some of his favorite nostalgic candies, takes a look at a sleek glass scale that boldly reports your weight without any regard for your feelings, and introduces a game involving zombie kittens—which raises several important questions, none of which are answered in the video.

Somewhere between the candy aisle and the kitten apocalypse, Aaron also shares information about the upcoming local disc golf tournament. Whether you're a seasoned pro or someone who regularly donates discs to nearby ponds and trees, you'll want to check it out.

We also want to give a huge shout-out to the local high school students heading off to Masonic Band Camp this week. We hope you have an amazing experience, make great memories, and play enough notes to keep the mosquitoes dancing all summer long.

As always, thank you for watching, supporting, and joining us for another week of perfectly reasonable retail behavior. If you enjoy the video, please like, comment, and share it with your friends, family, coworkers, disc golf rivals, and anyone who might be interested in nostalgic candy, zombie kittens, or truth-telling bathroom scales. Every share helps us grow, and every comment increases the chances that Aaron will continue finding wonderfully strange things to feature in future videos.
