Evangeline is delighted to introduce our first Literary Salon, an intimate evening created for thoughtful conversation, connection, and a shared love of books.

Monday, September 14, 2026
5:30–7:30 PM at Evangeline
116 E. Market St., Mabank, Texas

Our first selection is The Burning Side by Sarah Damoff.

We’ll gather for a lively discussion of the book and be joined virtually by Sarah, who will share a few thoughts and participate in a brief Q&A.

5:30 PM — Refreshments & Socializing
6:00 PM — Literary Salon begins promptly
7:00 PM — Program concludes
Evangeline will remain open until 7:30 PM.

This is a complimentary event, but seating is intentionally limited to just 20 guests. Reservations are required.

Make a Sunday of it in Malakoff!

Some of our favorite people and favorite places to treasure hunt are just down the road in Malakoff.

For more than a decade, we’ve shopped, collected and, most importantly, become friends with these wonderful folks.

Open Sunday: Stop in and see Jeffrey, Derrick & team at Blue Canoe and Nathan & Jamie at Lindy Antique Mall. Wander, hunt for something wonderful, and enjoy the kind of places that make shopping local so much fun.
