I decided to do some impromptu photos recently. I haven't had any type of "official" photo for over 3 years and thought now would be fun!
I wanted to use it as a way to reintroduce myself :)
So, hi there, I'm Kaya and I'm the owner of Emerald Moon! I have been in the floral industry for almost 10 years now. I started working at a flower shop right out of high school and fell in love with the idea of working with flowers. I wasn't a designer then, it took a couple a years before I would become one. I went to school for horticulture and floral design and that's when I really started to learn everything about floristry!
Over the years, I have fallen in love with making floral for weddings. It's definitely my passion even though I love making other floral arrangements!
Thought it would be fun to do some little fun facts about me! So here it goes -
🌙 I'm utterly obsessed with reading and books. Especially fantasy
🌙 I love learning and I'm currently enrolled in a herbology course
🌙 My favorite season is fall and my favorite holiday is Halloween (I also love spring)
🌙 I am a very big Lord of the Rings nerd
🌙 I'm a cat person but very much love all animals!
🌙 For anyone that wants to know - I'm a Gemini sun, Cancer moon and Cancer rising.
🌙 My business name comes from my birth stone being emerald and my obsession with the moon. My mom even wrote in my baby book how truly fascinated I was with the moon and how I couldn't stop staring at it haha it's been a lifelong obsession.
