🌿 A Message of Gratitude and Appreciation
There are physicians who practice medicine as a profession, and there are those who embrace it as a humanitarian mission—using their knowledge to serve others, their expertise to bring healing, and their success to give back to their communities.
With the deepest appreciation and gratitude, the Administration and Staff of Shepherd’s Field Hospital, together with the people of Beit Sahour and the residents of Bethlehem Governorate, extend their sincere thanks and highest appreciation to Professor Bashar Qumseya in recognition of the outstanding medical and humanitarian service he provided during his annual visit to his homeland.
Throughout his stay, Professor Qumseya generously dedicated his time and extensive academic and clinical expertise to caring for patients. He performed numerous advanced endoscopic procedures and therapeutic interventions, in addition to providing dozens of free medical consultations, placing his knowledge and experience at the service of his community with exceptional dedication, humility, and compassion.
His remarkable commitment reflects the highest ideals of humanitarian responsibility and devotion to one’s homeland. It is a powerful reminder that scientific excellence reaches its greatest value when it is used to serve humanity, relieve suffering, and improve lives.
As Professor Bashar Qumseya prepares to return to the United States, we wish him a safe journey, continued good health, and every success in his professional and personal endeavors. We look forward to welcoming him back in the years to come and to continuing this meaningful collaboration for the benefit of our patients and our community.
We also hope that initiatives such as this will inspire Palestinian medical professionals, both at home and throughout the diaspora, to strengthen the culture of service, generosity, and giving back to their communities. Every act of kindness, every hour devoted to helping others, and every piece of knowledge shared with sincerity leaves a lasting impact on the lives of those in need.

🌿 رسالة شكر وعرفان
هناك أطباء يمارسون الطب كمهنة، وهناك من يجعلون منه رسالة إنسانية.
بكل مشاعر التقدير والامتنان، تتقدم إدارة وطاقم مستشفى حقل الرعاة، ومعهم أهالي مدينة بيت ساحور وأبناء محافظة بيت لحم، بأسمى آيات الشكر والعرفان إلى البروفيسور بشار قمصية، تقديرا لما قدّمه من خدمة طبية وإنسانية نبيلة خلال زيارته السنوية إلى وطنه.
خلال فترة وجوده، سخّر البروفيسور بشار خبرته الأكاديمية والسريرية لخدمة المرضى، فأجرى عمليات تنظير متقدمة، وعمليات علاجية، وقدم عشرات المعاينات الطبية المجانية، واضعا علمه وخبرته في خدمة أبناء مجتمعه بكل إخلاص ومحبة.
إن هذا العطاء يجسد أسمى معاني المسؤولية الإنسانية والانتماء للوطن، ويؤكد أن الخبرة العلمية تزداد قيمة عندما تُسخَّر لخدمة الإنسان.
وبينما يستعد البروفيسور بشار قمصية للعودة إلى الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، فإننا نتمنى له رحلة آمنة وموفقة، وعودةً ميمونة، ومزيدا من النجاح والتميز، مع خالص أمنياتنا بأن تتجدد لقاءاتنا في الأعوام القادمة، وأن يستمر هذا التعاون المثمر لما فيه خير مرضانا ومجتمعنا.
كما نأمل أن تكون هذه المبادرات الإنسانية مصدر إلهام لكل الكفاءات الطبية الفلسطينية في الوطن والمهجر، لترسيخ ثقافة العطاء ورد الجميل للمجتمع، فكل جهد يُقدَّم بإخلاص يترك أثرا لا يُنسى في حياة الناس.
