Earlier this week, a customer came to the field with a specific purpose in mind.
​
She wasn't cutting flowers for herself. She was gathering flowers for a friend.
​
As I watched her move through the rows, carefully choosing colors and blooms she thought her friend would love, I was so grateful. Flowers are often so much more than something beautiful, they are a way of caring for someone.
​
Before she left, she thoughtfully arranged her cupful of blooms into a vase. It was a simple gesture filled with so much intention and care.
​
The confidence she carried is exactly what I hope to bring with Friday's workshop.

It's not about perfection. It's about learning the season and turning a simple task into something meaningful.

Dreaming of this kind of sunset for this Friday’s workshop in the flowers.

Beyond the You Pick 6/19/2026

We’ll start in the Eucalyptus with an empty cup and a pair of snips.

We’ll move slowly through the flowers, talking about what’s blooming, and the unique characteristics that make each flower different. Along the way, you’ll learn what to cut, and how to spot flowers at their best stage for harvest.

Then we’ll turn them into something beautiful.

There will be plenty of time for questions, conversation, and simply enjoying the flowers.

This isn’t about doing it perfectly.

It’s about feeling more confident, more connected to the flowers you’re bringing home, and leaving with skills you can use again and again.

One of my favorite parts of hosting You Picks is watching people fill their cups with flowers. I often find myself asking, "Can I take a picture of your cup?"

I also get a lot of questions.

Did I cut this at the right stage?
What do I need to do when I get home?

​The truth is, there isn't really a wrong way to fill your cup. But a little knowledge can help you enjoy those flowers longer and feel more confident once you get them home.

Over the years, I've picked up a lot of little tricks from workshops, books, mentors, and plenty of trial and error.

Beyond the You Pick 6/19/2026 is my chance to share those lessons.

We'll walk through the rows together, talk about what's blooming, discuss harvest stages for different flowers, and cut as we go. No experience needed.

You’ll learn:

• How to properly process fresh-cut flowers
• The best ways to hydrate flowers for longer vase life
• Simple arranging techniques you can use at home
• Tips for keeping your flowers looking beautiful as long as possible

Lush summer harvests are here! 💐

The Summer Flower Club starts this week.

One of the things I love most about the Flower Club is that each bouquet reflects what is naturally at its peak in that moment of the season.

A June bouquet looks different from a July bouquet because the field is constantly changing. By spacing the bouquets throughout the season, you get to experience the first and best blooms as they arrive, making each bouquet feel unique and connected to what is naturally growing in the field.
