I was listening to the news this morning as I ran some errands and the news was disappointing and frightening. As a private citizen, you have the right to express your opinion any way you like. It used to be any legal way, but that was turned on its heels a couple of years ago. But, if you work for someone or a business or agency you probably should not post on social media negative remarks about you supervisors or the position they may take on certain social or political matters.
If you feel strongly about the matter, currenly the war in Gaza, resign your position and voice your opinion any way you see fit and as often as you like.
While you have the right to free speech, there can be consequences. As the one voicing your opinion has responsibility to fact check what you are saying and be accepting of all consequences. You must be willing to leave you job, be fired, or punched in the nose.
What is worrisome to me is we have people in our government who voice their positions supporting Hamas while our government is outwardly supporting Israel. We have people in the State Department, Depertment of Veterans Administration and the CIA supporting Hamas.
The United States is not a flawless nation. But, it is the greatest nation on earth. Our way of life, our republic, our freedom our existence is being threatened, and our government is asleep at the wheel.j

Two comments by Georgia Southern coaches left me scratching my head. The offensive coach said he called game against OMU too
conservatively and he was going to try to call plays to win. Wasn’t that what he susposed to do each game? But, Southern has a quarterback that could not find the open receiver if he was beating a drum.
The second comment was that Southern had worked on a different setup on kickoff returns. I didn’t now that we had blocking plan all year.

It is about 5:30am and I am sittings in a rocking chair at the beautiful Beaufort Inn in Beaufort, SC. The sounds of the early morning brings me to a closeness to God. It’s a feeling of peace.
The sounds of distant traffic, the birds starting the morning with their songs,the sound of the sea breeze through the trees and the smells intensify the senses.
Monday, we toured the island via golf cart and saw some amazing old houses. There is a lot of history to Beaufort dating back to the 1700’s, the Civil War, and the entertainment industry. Pat Conroy lived in Beaufort and several movies at least in part were filmed here on Beaufort.
It has the small town feel, which the residents want to keep. There is plenty to see at a slower pace, with good food at the local restaurants. Between meals, there are plenty of ice cream and desert shops. If you are into antiques, Beaufort should be on your go to list.
It’s getting light now and people are stiring. It must be about time to beach walk about a hundred yards to one of two local breakfast/lunch places, can’t wait.
