Today one of our customers walked in with a posture bra she bought from Kohl’s - size 40D. She said she was happy with that bra, but it didn’t work with the dress she was wearing for her son’s wedding.

She thought she needed the posture bra because she was having back problems. Low and behold, her bra just wasn’t the right size.

We helped her pick out the bra above in the correct size, 36H. She felt comfortable enough to wear it everyday and it provided the right support to make her comfortable. And yes, it’s a beautiful blue color that she loves!

My point is that a bra education is so important in helping you find the right bra. We often think we know what we need, but sometimes it’s based on a misconception we’ve learned about bras. My favorite thing to do is show people bow bras work and what we adjust to fox their fit problems. And then show them how amazing wearing a gorgeous bra everyday is!!

Boycotting boring bras! I admit, I hibernate a bit in the winter and spend most of my time in cozy bras. But when the weather gets warm, I reach for my pretty bras. Unless you exclusively wear tight, white t-shirts, not every bra has to be a neutral smooth cup. Don’t know your size? We do! It’s in file if we’ve fit you in the past. If not, book an appointment. Even the most fun bra is going to be a flop if it’s the wrong size.

This girl had a double mastectomy two years ago today. It’s a weird little day - I feel sad for that carefree girl working with her bra friends in New York City; and that girl who confidently walked into her first mammogram feeling like it was NBD. I’m really heartbroken looking at the girl on vacation who was just told her biopsy came back showing she had Ductal Carcinoma in Situ (DCIS).

I’m proud of that girl (still very much high on whatever drugs they gave her) lying in that hospital bed. And I’m a little scared for the girl in Paris who will always kinda worry about it coming back.

It’s a carousel of emotions, as you can see. I wish this didn’t happen to me. But it did, so I share it because I know it has happened to so many of you who may be scrolling past this post. Sometimes just knowing you are not alone is a huge relief.

As always, my call to action for you is simple: Book your mammograms!! ❤️

Today I had an awesome time working with a guest who is recovering from her oncoplastic breast reduction. She was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent a lumpectomy and breast reduction, as well as lymph node removal in January. After two surgeries, she is healing but still feeling tender.
