Yesssss it's new graphic novel Reel day! And we've got probably the best deal there has ever been with the IDW Publishing | Comic Books and Graphic Novels Classic TMNT TPB. The first 10 issues plus the 4 micro series for a paltry $14? Are you kidding me? And that's cover price? It's not even on sale?! How do I still have copies left? Creator Signing Alert!

Dewey's Comic City is proud to present a creator appearance by superstar artist RAFAEL ALBUQUERQUE (Absolute Green Arrow, American Vampire, Huck)!

Mr. Albuquerque will be in store on Wednesday, September 30th from 4:00 to 6:00 PM signing copies of his amazing work. We will have prints and copies of his work available at the signing.

Signatures on most items are $10, however signatures on items purchased at the time of the signing will be FREE!

Welcome back, Wednesday Warriors!

Thanks to everyone who came out and celebrated Batman Day/Dewey's 35th Anniversary/John's 20th Anniversary with us! We had a blast, saw some old faces (and some new ones!), and sold a buttload of comics. Exactly how I had envisioned it. Here's to next year's Batman Day/35 more years/20 more years (and then 20 more after that, and then 10 more after that so the anniversaries all stay even).

First, some housekeeping: my apologies to the Man of Steel fans out there, but I was shorted most of my order of Superman #42. Hopefully I'll get replacement copies quickly, but for tomorrow the copies I do have will be limited to subscribers only until supply runs out which will happen very quickly. My sincerest apologies for the inconvenience.

The good news is it's Absolute Batman Day! Yes, fresh off this weekend's best-selling Batman of Two Worlds One-Shot (copies still available), Absolute Batman #24 launches onto shelves and then breaks those shelves over its knee and stabs the pieces with its cape and then bites what's left into smaller pieces that it impales on its shoulder spikes. I love this book so much.

A few big updates for tomorrow, 2 good and 1 bad. So we'll make a nice disappointment sandwich of it so the bad news is less bitter.

First up, Kubert School alum and all-around handsome young lad Sean Mendoza has been added to the lineup of artists! He'll be tabling in the morning so come by and take a look at what he's got on tap. Sean always has excellent energy and awesome stickers and we're excited to have him.

Second, the bad news, is that due to a personal emergency, Fernando Ruiz is unable to attend. He will of course be sorely missed and we wish him the best.

But, to make up for it, we've convinced another Dewey's legend to make an appearance - a dashing gentleman by the name of The World's Biggest Bowl of Oreo Cookies! Yes, fresh off his successful run at Free Comic Book Day this year, TWBBOOC is back for an encore performance tomorrow. Like me, he really hopes to see you there!

The big week is finally here!

Saturday, September 19th, we will be holding a celebration of 20 years of me (and 35 years of Dewey's). We'll have artists, sales, and a special gift that might be familiar to longtime fans of the store.

Oh, and that day is also Batman Day, so we'll have a ton of exclusive Batman Day stuff to give away and even better, more exclusive Batman Day stuff to sell.

Every customer who makes a purchase that day will get a special gift commemorating the occasion, and the first 35 customers to spend $35.00 or more will receive a Batman reusable bag!

We will have some Batman comics and masks to give away for Batman Day, as well as some exclusive Batman Day merchandise for sale. The hotly anticipated Batman of Two Worlds One-Shot will be available (and I ordered a bunch so don't be shy about buying a few), as well as some exclusive Batman Day hardcover editions of Batman 89, Batman Vol. 01 Daylight, and The Dark Knight Returns.
