My Dad never wanted me to take on the cheese factory. Thank goodness. I’m having more fun with my Farm fam, YOU, than I could ever imagine.

I’ll never forget… I was in school to be a personal trainer, and at the time was extremely introverted. I did an interview with a mainstream gym and felt epically out of place.

I called my Dad mentioning I was interested in the cheese factory out of pure fear.

One of the greatest gifts was in that moment when he said, “It’s too late. I’m selling”.

The year is 2008. The market crashed and jobs were SCARCE.

I started training people out of my rented level in downtown Madison. It evolved and evolved along with mixing our whey powders.

Fast forward near 2 decades, and only now do I realize what a gift it was for my Dad to reject me.
