Madison Freewheel Bicycle Co We're a 501(c)3 charity, dedicated to transportation justice. We teach you how to fix your bicycle! Freewheel is a nonprofit bicycle and bike repair shop.

Drop-in to Freewheel during Open Shop hours:
1st and 3rd Sundays of each month, noon-4pm
Free and open to all! We teach bicycle classes, advocate for ridership, have an open shop, and host bicycle giveaways both at our shop and at libraries, community centers, and schools throughout Dane County. We currently operate out of the Neighborhood House Community Center at 31 S Mills St. Come visit during

Maybe you’ve seen the signs on the bike path, maybe you just know, but Madison Bike Week is baaaaaaack—and Freewheel will be hosting *four* events this year:

🚲 Bike Week Bike Sale: Sunday 5/31. 12-4pm, 31 S Mills St. Help clear out the shop! At least a dozen used bikes for sale in various sizes and styles in the $100-300 range, plus a few really unique bikes. Parts and minor repairs available, donations gratefully accepted!

☕ Commuter Station: Wednesday, 6/3. 7-10am, Arboretum Entrance @ Wingra Bike Path. Stop by for coffee, treats, and minor repairs.

🎉 End of Week Party: Friday, 6/5. 5-8pm Brittingham Park. Community event with food, music, and Freewheel will be there with a bike stand and tools.

🔧 Open Shop, Bike Week Edition: Sunday 6/7. 12-4pm, 31 S Mills St. All the usual repairs and bike maintenance education Freewheel is best known for. Even more stands and pumps than last year. Bring it on!
