My niece had asked off work at her ER Vet Tech job in Cary to help me during the festival. Since the festival was postponed and she can’t make the new date, I put her to work last Saturday, anyway! She got LOTS of vintage buttons bagged! Come dig through them!

Well, the unfortunate decision was made to postpone our Fall for Madison Festival to next Saturday, October 24th. Chas had already started baking, so pecan pies, red velvet cake, lemon pound cake, and strawberry cake will be available for purchase. Whole pies are $18 each and if you want a whole cake, red velvet is $50 and the pound cakes are $40 each. Slices of cake are $6 each. PLEASE shoot me a message if you would like something! We will be open by 10 AM.

🍂 IMPORTANT UPDATE: FALL FOR MADISON POSTPONED! 🍁 Due to the forecasted weather and concerns from our vendors, the Madison Merchants Guild has made the difficult decision to postpone this weekend’s Fall for Madison Festival.

While we’re disappointed, we want to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for our vendors, downtown businesses, and everyone planning to attend.

🎃 NEW DATE: Saturday, October 24, 2026

🕙 TIME: 10 AM – 5 PM

📍 Downtown Madison, NC

The good news? All the fall fun is just one week away!

We sincerely appreciate everyone’s understanding, especially our hardworking vendors who put so much time and effort into preparing for this event.

Please help us spread the word by sharing this post!

We look forward to seeing everyone NEXT SATURDAY for a wonderful day in Downtown Madison!

This evening, 10/15/2026, we said goodbye to Cybil. She was rescued from the Guilford County Animal Shelter in August of 2011 along with her cagemate, Sadie, when they were about one year old. Cybil was fiercely loyal to my husband and me, and liked very few other people. But she sure did make us laugh! She and my husband, Chas, shared a very special bond. Since Sadie’s passing on June 14, Cybil has suffered with tremendous grief and declining health. Dr. Carrie with Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice came to our house this evening and helped reunite Cybil and Sadie.

Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. Bella, Sadie, and Cybil have been very tough losses.
