Girl Scouts of Central California South joins Girl Scouts everywhere in remembering Dolly Parton, whose life showed generations of girls what can happen when you dream big, stay true to yourself, and use your gifts to lift others.

Dolly’s connection to Girl Scouts was a special one. In 2007, she became a Girl Scout Lifetime Member, proudly wearing her own Girl Scout sash alongside girls who looked up to her as an example of courage, confidence, kindness, and generosity.

Her legacy reaches far beyond the stage. Through her music, philanthropy, and lifelong commitment to helping children learn and dream, she reminded us that success means even more when you use it to make a difference for others.

Today, we celebrate a woman who never stopped dreaming and spent her life encouraging others to do the same.

Thank you for the music, the memories, and the example, Dolly. 💚
