We are trying a new thing and we'd love to have you join us. This September 13th we are hosting an inaugural Strings Workshop at our shop. Our hope is to gather together strings teachers---those in schools or with private studios-- to share expertise and make connections. This first session features clinicians who between them share 100 years of teaching experience. Details attached:

We're seeing lots of instruments with slipping pegs and fallen bridges in this cold snap. With tomorrow's intense cold, it will be worse. If you have a stringed instrument, store it away from exterior walls and out of closets over then next several days. If you must travel with your instrument, warm the car up before bringing the instrument out, don't leave it out longer than it needs to be (yes, bring it into the grocery store with you), and keep it in the heated cabin of your car with you.

If you have pegs, a bridge or a soundpost slip, don't panic. Ease the tension off the strings and give us a call.

Weather like this doesn't only explode trees; it can "explode" stringed instruments too! Take care out there all.

We are seeing unprecedented increases to the cost of our supplies. Since the implementation of tariffs we've seen an average 25% increases to our costs but over 40% in in some cases. To survive we have to raise prices. Since our founding in 2012 we have worked hard to provide the highest quality while also keeping music accessible to everyone. We are doing what we can to offer options to keep that mission alive, but in the face of such dramatic increases there are few options. Thank you for understanding.
