Join us this weekend at Madison Chocolate as we share summer’s bounty with you! One of our core principles at Madison Chocolate is fostering strong relationships with the community and our clientele. One customer, who has been with us for the past 9 years, brought in cherries they hand-harvested from their own fruit trees. They wanted to collaborate with us to create a delicious product using the cherries, which we could then use as a fundraiser. Together we have chosen the local organization, Rooted. Rooted is a local urban agriculture organization helping to grow food security and land access through youth education, food production, community gardens and community events. In collaboration with neighborhood centers, school districts and countless community partners, they distribute thousands of pounds of locally grown food while teaching garden-based education to kids from across the state.

Our bakers pitted all these beautiful tiny morello cherries and created a Danish that will amaze you. It features gluten-free laminated dough, a lemon cream cheese base, local tart cherry house-made jam, topped with a sweet bourbon vanilla bean whipped cream and a fresh cherry on top. $2.00 from every pastry will go towards Rooted, and MCC will match the donations. Saturday and Sunday.

It features peach compote with vanilla whipped cream on top of our house made gluten free biscuits. (contains almond flour).

Danish will be available Saturday and Sunday at both locations. Shortcake will be featured on Thursday and Friday.

Waffle of the weekend will be peach compote with a cardamom whip, Glenway only.
