An older picture is not a lost cause. Nearly all of it is prep work before the file ever reaches the laser, and that is most of what we teach now. 🕊

Running some test of these new templates. Cast black acrylic, 30 watt fiber laser.
Dropped the photo in, flattened it into one image, then added the text with an offset. Came out clean.

Full scene on a 24x12 black granite tile. This one goes back a few years now.
If you are running full scenes on the larger tiles, watch for warpage. Some of them are not dead flat, and on a scene this size you will see it in the engraving as a soft spot long before you would ever notice it holding the tile in your hand. Set it on the bed and check it before you start. Shim it if you have to.
The smaller tiles give you a lot less trouble with this.

Finishing out the text on this small black granite headstone engraved on the AP 2816 80w Co2. Photo turned out alright but I see things I could have changed to get more details. If I did it over I would have gone darker with it.
