A positive memory from a negative world.

Back in the 1970s, there was a theater in the empty lot beside 126 E Murphy St. The theater was there and had balcony. The black people had to sit in the balcony, with the hard chairs. The white people had cushioned seats downstairs along with the concessions (Soda, Popcorn & Candy). This story was told to me by one of those black guys, he was around 12-15 years old at that time.
"The seats were hard, hard...but it really wasn't that bad cause we'd bomb the hell outta them white folks!" He laughed a deep belly laugh.

After the movie was over, often times they would walk across the street to 115 E Murphy St, MRS. RABBITS. "We'd walk in and she'd look at us and say I'll make it, but you can't eat it here!" Til this day, he says they were the best hot dogs in the whole world!!!

My kids had to put down their dog yesterday. Afterwards they buried him ar their dad's house. So, I made a name marker for them to place at that spot. Cooper was a good dog and he was great for my kids! He will be missed terribly.
