🦆🦆 NEWS FROM THE POND 🦆

I finally have an update on Mystery Boxes!

As some of you know, getting our Amazon Mystery Boxes consistently has become increasingly difficult. My supplier is working on a new Mystery Box program to hopefully take their place and give us something we can actually keep stocked.

They'll be making the boxes themselves, and once they're ready I'm going to check out the pricing and quality before I commit to bringing them into Duck's.

I personally really like this idea. It keeps me out of the equation, keeps the mystery actually a mystery, and frankly, I barely have enough time to mow my lawn as it is. 😂

Lots of little changes happening and more on the way. I'm really grateful for everyone's understanding while we keep tweaking things and figuring out what works best for Duck's. 🦆

In observance of Labor Day, Duck’s will be CLOSED today.
Unfortunately, Labor Day doesn’t mean no labor for the Duck. 😂🦆 I’ll be busy getting the store ready and stocked up for the upcoming week!

To whoever decided Duck's dumpster looked like a convenient place to dispose of their old carpet:
I appreciate you thinking of us, but unfortunately we are a liquidation store, not a landfill. 😂

Please don't dump your personal trash in our dumpster. We pay for that service.

Also... judging by the condition of that carpet, I'm genuinely afraid to know what the rest of the house looks like. 😭😂

P.S. The McDonald's cup really tied the whole installation together.

Please don't make me become the Dumpster Duck. 🦆

🦆 Opening Update

Due to an unexpected medical situation, Duck’s will not be opening at 10 AM today.

If everything checks out and I’m cleared, we may open later today. I’ll post an update as soon as I know.

🦆 Update: Everything checked out okay at the moment, but I do have some follow-up appointments ahead. With that said, Duck's will remain closed for the rest of today.

Not gonna lie, the body is feeling it today. 😂
Between moving inventory, building stuff and working on the store, apparently I'm not 20 anymore.
Then I saw more storms coming and caught myself thinking...
“Come on, FirstEnergy. Just one little transformer. Ducky needs a nap.” ⚡🦆

Anyway, we're open! Apparently FirstEnergy has chosen not to grant my request.

I actually had the opportunity to bring these dumpling toys into Duck's, and I knew there was demand for them. Something about them made me hesitant, so I passed.

Now they've been recalled.

I do my best to check inventory for active recalls, and if something seems questionable, I'm not going to bring it in just because I know it'll sell.

I'd rather lose a sale than sell something I don't feel comfortable putting on my shelves. 🦆
