📚💙 A LITTLE BOOKSTORE UPDATE, AND A BIG THANK YOU TO OUR COMMUNITY! 💙📚

It's time for our monthly book count update! For those who are new here, we share these numbers because we believe our community deserves to know how their little independent bookstore is doing. Every book purchased makes a difference, and we love having you along for this journey!

First, a little change! Now that Sweethearts by Story Hollow is open in Sweetwater, we've decided to track and share each bookstore's numbers separately. This will give everyone a clearer picture of how each store is doing!

🍂 Let's talk about September...

September was a tough month for Story Hollow. From what we've been seeing, it was a slower month for booksellers in general, and that unusually hot weather certainly didn't help! Even WE wanted to stay home in the air conditioning with a good book! 😂☀️

We finished September at 880 books sold, a little shy of our 1,000-book monthly goal.

But here's the good news...

🎉 OCTOBER IS ALREADY LOOKING GREAT! 🎉

We're only partway through the month, and we've already sold 433 books! That puts us on track for approximately 1,245 books in October! 🙌

And with the holiday shopping season just around the corner, we're feeling hopeful and excited about what the rest of the year will bring!

Our goal has always been to sell enough books to keep Story Hollow thriving, growing, and serving our community for years to come. We've had some incredible months this year and some challenging ones, too. We're still working to make up the difference so we can finish the year meeting our annual goal.

Every single book purchased, every friend you bring through our doors, every event you attend, and every post you share helps keep independent bookstores alive in our small towns.

We know you have choices when it comes to buying books, and the fact that you choose to support Story Hollow means more than we can ever express.

We're not just selling books. Together, we're building a community of readers, friendships, and stories right here in Downtown Madisonville.

🚨📹 SECURITY CAMERA FOOTAGE: STUFFIES GONE WILD! 🧸🤣

We had SO much fun at our Stuffie Sleepover last night! The kids tucked their stuffed animals in, said their goodnights, and trusted us to keep everyone safe and sound. 🥰

Well… we came into Story Hollow this morning and discovered that apparently NOBODY WENT TO SLEEP! 😳

After reviewing our security camera footage, we now know what REALLY happened after the lights went out…

🧻 Someone TP’d the bookshelves!
🧩 A dinosaur puzzle party broke out!
🚗 There was some questionable driving.
📚 A few stuffies stayed up WAY past bedtime reading.
🎨 Someone got into the crayons!
🚚 There may have been an unauthorized joyride.
☕ And apparently, they needed coffee after all that excitement!

We’re still investigating exactly who started the trouble, but we have a few suspects. 👀

Parents, we promise your stuffies are safe… although we can’t promise they’ve been on their best behavior! 😂

🧸✨ STUFFIES, STORIES & SWEET DREAMS! 🌙📚

We had an absolute BLAST at our Stuffie Sleepover tonight at Story Hollow! 💙

Our little readers brought their favorite stuffed friends for a magical evening filled with stories, creativity, and imagination!

🎨 We decorated special beds for our stuffies.
📖 Snuggled up for storytime and madlibs.
🎭 Brought stories to life with shadow puppets.
🧸 And tucked our cuddly friends in for their very first bookstore sleepover!

There were lots of smiles, giggles, and memories made, and we loved every minute of it!

A HUGE thank you to all the families who joined us! These are the moments that make owning a small-town independent bookstore so special. 🥹❤️

Now, all the kids have gone home, the lights are out, and our stuffed guests are tucked in for the night.

We’re sure they’ll be on their very best behavior while we’re gone… right?! 👀🤔
