I'm a woman embracing my fifties.

It has taken a long time to achieve my personal goals.

I was discouraged 😞 for a moment.

This is what I told myself today.

It'll get greater later.

Sometimes we have to pass through whatever it is.

You can get through it because others have done it.

Deuteronomy 15: 8- 18
(The message bible)

Verse 8
No. Look at him, open your purse, lend whatever and as much as he needs.

Verse 9
Don't count the cost. Don't listen to that selfish voice saying,
"It's almost the seventh year, the year of All- Debts- are canceled," and turn aside and leave your neighbor needy in the lurch refusing to help him.

This is my summary of this verse of scripture.

The word of god is so good and sharp as a two edge sword.

The isralites had a mandate which was to be Charitable to any of their countrymen who were in need or fell on hard times. They were suppose to lend in generosity. This can be difficult to do if you're not giving with a pure heart.

God promised to bless those who cared for the poor. Your giving must not be coerced and your heart must be pure.

Today's scripture that's thought provoking and food for our souls.

Proverbs 27:1

"Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth."

Do not boast about tomorrow.

Have you ever done it.

I'm so guilty of doing this.

It is human nature to be overly confident in what our future days hold.

It is easy to boast about tomorrow, especially with our modern day arrogance of continual progress.

A generous lifestyle means more than being willing to provide funds and other financial and material support to others.

It means being willling to give of yourself in every way, including accepting and loving others and supporting and caring for those who may be different in any way.

Generosity is a gift.

You hear so many people confess various gifts.

Not too many people mention this gift.

Generosity is a true gift from our father which is in heaven?
