Global Coffee Awards have been announced!

We are humbled and honored to take home three medals, all with coffees from Mexico! 🤗 We truly work hard to present these wonderful coffees at their very best, and seeing these year round blends recognized alongside some of the best roasters and coffees across the U.S. and Canada means so much to us.

For us, this is about more than a medal. It’s about celebrating the incredible coffees coming out of Mexico, the producers who make them possible, and the work that goes into every step of the journey. From sourcing and roasting to the cup you can enjoy.

6th at the USRC Qualifiers! 🏆🤗

We are incredibly proud, excited, and grateful for this result. We’ve put in a lot of hard work to get here, and this journey continues to push us to better understand our coffee, and what it means to compete at this level.

There’s still so much to learn and work toward—not just to become better competitors, but to continue providing the best quality coffee we can with our small family business.

And now… we’re headed to the USRC Finals in Kona, Hawaii!!

We are grateful to everyone who has supported us, cheered us on, and believed in what we’re doing. We truly couldn’t do this without you. Thank you!

On October 3rd, Talavera Coffee will be hosting a LIVE Cupping Event for The Fermentation Project, where we’ll be following along with James Hoffmann as we taste through the different stages of coffee fermentation.

Tomorrow will be Zach’s 4th year competing in the USRC!

Every year we look forward to this weekend—not just for the competition, but for the chance to hang out with our fellow roasters, catch up with old friends, and meet new ones.

We’ve been working hard, practicing, and learning along the way, and we’re excited to see what this year brings. Hopefully we can put everything we’ve learned to good use and do well!

Why am I always on my computer/Ipad so much???

Well, this is why.

So much of what you see from Talavera Coffee starts right here — the stickers, pins, merch, packaging, graphics, website, and all the little details that make our brand feel like us.

I love creating things, and getting to turn an idea in my head into something you can actually hold, or enjoy with your coffee is pretty special.

So yeah… if you see me staring at my computer, just know I’m probably creating the next thing for Talavera. 💙

And trust me, there’s always something in the works.

Introducing a side quest. Welcome to The Fox's Den!

A Talavera Coffee slowbar experience centered around filtered coffee, and the experience of gathering around it.

Pour overs. Siphons. Signature drinks. Weird little coffee experiments. Beautiful coffees that deserve your attention.

No lattes. No rush. No “grab it and run.”
Just really good coffee, brewed with intention, and a space to stop, sit, sip, talk, and geek out over what’s in your cup.

This is our little side quest… and we’re pretty excited to see where it takes us.

We’re excited to be part of The Fermentation Project, joining hundreds of roasters around the world to explore four different approaches to coffee fermentation.

From mechanical demucilage, to wild fermentation, lactobacillus, and yeast inoculation—we’ll be tasting how each process can influence the flavor, aroma, and character of the same coffee.

We’re excited to learn, experiment, and share the results with you!
