Some pieces never make it to the booth or online
Less than a week after finding this hand-carved walnut table, it found its next home. Before I ever had the chance to list it online or bring it into , someone fell in love with its story.
Depression era handmade in Dallas, Texas in 1934 for his daughter, this table has lived nearly a century carrying memories through generations. The carved floral details, piecrust edge, and rich walnut patina are beautiful, but it’s the handwritten inscription underneath that makes it truly one of a kind. You simply can’t recreate history like that.
This is exactly why I love what I do. Sourcing isn’t just about finding old things. It’s about preserving craftsmanship, uncovering forgotten stories, and helping meaningful pieces find another home where they’ll be appreciated for years to come.
