I was originally using gofundme but they take a lot of the money donated for the fees associated with using it.
So my Venmo is

Goal = $6,000 (surgery is about $7,000)
This girl is Savannah Rose. She is a 7 year old lab/Malinois/GSD mix who is my world. A few months ago Savannah started limping on her back left leg. I took her into see my vet about 2 weeks after the initial limping. The vet told me it was most likely her CCL or ACL but because Savannah was not limping badly and acting normal to just keep her quiet and watch jumping and stairs but an x-ray was needed in the future. I was quoted around $600 for the x-ray as they need to sedate her and manipulate her joint. I put her on supplements and limited her activity and jumping. She seemed to be getting better in the few weeks that followed. I was plaining on getting an x-ray for her in January as my financial situation was not permitting me to afford it right now.
Fast forward to 11/17/23 & Savannah now is unable to put any pressure on her leg & is not doing well. Not sure what happened or how she did it but it got worse from one moment to the next. I have called my primary vet & have a appointment tomorrow 11/22 with an orthopedic vet. I am sure she tore her knee & will need surgery.
I am asking for any help you can provide. I am a Real Estate agent and this year has been on of the hardest yet. Savannah is my best friend. When I adopted her as a puppy it was right after my first major back surgery & i had 3 more over 4 years she was by my side 24/7. She was the best nurse around. She can sense when I am feeling down or had a bad day. She is an amazing dog and watching her be uncomfortable and in pain is killing me and breaking my heart. I will definitely get her the help she needs no matter what. I just need some financial help to pay for some care for her.
Thank you in advance for any help you are able to provide. ❤
