My favorite thing to say lately is: "No matter how much you think you keep up with music, it's impossible." I love customer suggestions - it broadens my musical horizons and allows me to test new stock in the store. Some standouts lately that I love are Pizza Hotline (drum & bass style electronic arcade-ish), Brittany Howard solo (Alabama Shakes), and a new one to me but I am clearly late to the party - I am LOVING Sierra Ferrell. Now, I am a metalhead but love all music - including having a sweet tooth for classic country, 80s/90s country, and bluegrass. I will share the video for the first Sierra Ferrell song I chose to listen to - but her style as described by me would be - "classic country with old time gospel/mexican cantina elements, Danny Elfman/spaghetti western quirks, and late 1800s smokey/whiskey stankin' saloon vibes." At other times it's top shelf old classic country with a slight modern vibe (in a good way).
This is all based on the first album of hers I am listening to, "Long Time Coming". I LOVE IT. Thank you to the customer that suggested her! Here's one of my favs so far:
