Marc Ulasik has restocked us on his handmade knives. Marc is a retired Blacksmith and tool and die maker who worked many years at the Bachelor Syracuse gold mine near Ouray, Colorado. Today I had the honor of having Norman Lansing stop in. Norman is Ute and Navajo and does some amazing pottery, painting and pencil work. Today he brought in several new pieces he had recently completed. He is cousin to Bob Lansing, another amazing local potter and artist. Available The Hogan

Today we feature Ivan Slim, Navajo (Dine') silversmith who likes making big rings with bright colors. These rings are made to be adjustable to your specific finger size. Purple spiney oyster, orange spiney oyster, Royston turquoise and White Water Turquoise are important parts of these beautiful Sterling silver hand made settings. Nice work Ivan!

The Mud Creek Hogan is back in stock with Virgil Wood Koshare Kachinas. The Koshare, or Hano clown is the jokester of the Kachinas. Virgil Wood is a Navajo carver from Santosee, New Mexico who has become famous for his folk art Koshares. Here are a few of them we now have. Enjoy.

JC Black is a Navajo artist from Red Valley Arizona that has been painting with acrylics for the last 40 years. I have a soft spot for kachina art, maybe because of the vibrant colors. They will be at the Mud Creek Hogan trading post on display and are available for sale.

Laberta Martin brought us a couple 2 Gray Hills rugs she completed recently. She's a character, always fun and very talented. Originally from Red Valley west of Shiprock New Mexico, she was taught by her mother and grandmother and uses Churro wool with natural colors in the 2 Gray Hills fashion. This beautiful lady, Gladys Plummer, brought us more of her mini rugs. She is so fast for 81! These mini rugs are all unique and measure approximately 10”x10”. We numbered them to make it easy to choose the one you want since they sold out so fast last time. In store these are $35 or $40 total to ship. First come first served.
