I!ve always been told how strong I am. As a child into adult hood “you’re so strong” or through every life battle for me “ you’re so strong, you’re a chameleon” but yesterday I was told I was a fighter. And though those words held the same sentiment of what I’ve heard my entire life. Being told yesterday that I’m such a fighter really hit in a way I didn’t think it could.
I am a fighter. They are correct. This isn’t a battle I never imagined fighting my way through. A lot of “we just don’t know” “ we need more tests”. Let’s see what the labs say” and even they basically come back not saying much it’s frustrating. But I’m here to figure it out and I’m not going home until it is. I’m losing a lot of work time, things that were top priority before arriving here that has not gotten so much a second thought from me. My health does come first.
I want to thank my friends and some family who dove in from day one to be here for me, showing up almost daily for comfort or any help they can provide. Love you beyond.
To my husband, who hasn’t left my side, other than for his little food breaks or fresh home runs to take care of things there. This man has literally whipped my butt y’all. Find that kind of love and care in a husband. I def couldn’t do this without him, he’s been my rock for sure.
The staff here at St Stammany hospital had been great, the nurses have come by to visit on their days off!! And that that makes me feel special.
My store! I cannot be caring to it as I should, most days I cannot pick up my phone to text or check books or inventory. But my girl really stepped up and assumed control. My girls & and even some fill in’s Monica found have been working together helping customers feel seen. And I’m so grateful for that. I’m blessed to have a support team. I know the prayers are being received 💕 hopefully just a few more days.
