In the Summer of 2008, Leftee Clothing Company was founded on a college graduation road trip by two left-handed friends, Vinny Velarde and Jacob Butcher. The idea was to make left-handed products for the left-handed individual; the name came from the idea of starting out with tee shirts. Vinny suggested the adoption of a polar bear as our image and mascot, based off the knowledge that polar bears

are predominantly left-pawed. Since then Leftee Clothing Co. has slowly evolved into the concept of creating a brand that represents and markets to the left-handed individual. While
t-shirts will be the main physical product, Leftee will focus on the image of
left-handed individuals through multiple media streams, celebrating
their consumers’ uniqueness
