Then he remembered something he used to do years earlier playing a NASCAR video game.

Instead of slowing down for Turns 3 and 4…

he put the car against the wall and kept his foot down.

The result?

One of the craziest moves NASCAR has ever seen — the HAIL MELON. 🍉

And he recorded the fastest Cup Series lap ever run at Martinsville at the time.
