From the frame… to something completely new.

Some of you have seen Andrew’s original artwork before, and some of you even own pieces of it.

Now we’re taking those original drawings, cleaning them up while keeping his hand-drawn style, and giving them a whole new life.

Well… we’ve officially taken over another room in our basement.

Our little production room for Foxy Doll is coming together!

Between my ideas and Andrew’s artistic talent, we decided it was time to start creating more of our own pieces from the ground up. This is where Cut & Riot, our upcycled clothing line, will come to life, along with our own Foxy Doll sweatshirts and apparel, me getting back to making my jewelry again, and even creating our own signature Foxy Doll soap.

Andrew is also getting back into his art and has some creative things of his own he’s going to be working on, too.

We’ve got the heat press, sewing machine and workspace going, with more equipment on the way, including our DTF printer. We’re investing in quality equipment and doing this the right way, because if we’re putting the Foxy Doll name on it, I want the quality to match.

I’m so freaking excited to have a space where we can create our own Foxy Doll products, get back to doing the creative things we love, and start bringing all these ideas to life.

Safe to say, we’re going to be BUSY this winter. 🖤

Yesterday’s post wasn’t just about me. It was for every woman who’s ever felt overlooked, talked about, underestimated, or like she had to stay quiet just to keep the peace. Sometimes you just have to say what needs to be said and keep it moving.

And today… we’re moving on to something FUN. 😏

A little sewing machine. A pile of fabric. A whole lot of ideas… and absolutely no clue what kind of trouble I’m about to get myself into. 😂

But something new is officially in the works at Foxy Doll…

Just a reminder, especially in the small business world…

Be fu***ng kind.

Businesses fail. Partnerships end. Plans fall through. People make mistakes, change directions, start over and sometimes have to completely reinvent themselves.

That doesn’t make someone a failure, and it sure as hell doesn’t make their hard season something to gossip about.

I’ve been bullied and talked about throughout my life and my career, and I’ve watched people hold onto s**t for YEARS. So yeah, this is something I feel strongly about. At some point, you have to let s**t go and move the f**k on.

You don’t have to like someone to wish them well. You don’t have to agree with every decision they’ve made to show them a little grace. And you don’t have to know the whole story to simply be a decent human being.

Especially as women, we need to stop tearing each other down, holding onto old bulls**t and quietly rooting for someone else to fail.

There is enough room for all of us.

Support people. Give grace. Let people start over.

And for f**k’s sake, stop being bullies.

Do better. Be kinder.

I’ve been meaning to post the new Foxy Doll setup forever! 😂

Some of my clients have already gotten to see it, and everyone who came to our event got a little sneak peek… but here she is!

I was ready for a CHANGE. I wanted the salon to flow better, function better, and just feel more like where Foxy Doll is today.

New salon chair. New shampoo bowl. New waiting area. New snack & drink area. Our Foxy Doll Hair Collection has its own home. And of course, I rearranged pretty much EVERYTHING. 😂

It feels more open, more organized, and way more functional for how I actually work every day.

Same Foxy Doll… just a fresh new setup. 🖤

I don’t think I say this enough, so today I just want to say thank you.

I’ve been doing hair for almost 30 years. During those years, I’ve moved, started over more times than I can count, rebuilt a clientele from scratch, opened my own salon, added a boutique, and continued finding new things that keep me excited and inspired.

And through every version of my career, there have been people who have supported me.

Some clients have been with me for years. Some were only with me for a season. Some have left and come back. Some have moved on, and new people have walked through my door. That’s just life, and that’s okay.

As I’ve gotten further into my career, I’ve also learned that I have to do this in a way that makes me happy and allows me to still love what I do. Sometimes that means not every stylist/client relationship is the right fit forever. It doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate the time you spent in my chair or the trust you gave me.

And that goes beyond hair.

Every person who has shopped my boutique, bought a product, shared a post, liked or commented, recommended Foxy Doll to someone, or simply continued following along … I appreciate you.

I know I keep myself busy. I’m ambitious, I’m always dreaming up something new, and sometimes I’m moving a hundred miles an hour. 😂 But I never want that to be mistaken for not being grateful.

Whether you’re sitting in my chair today, shopped with me once three years ago, or you’re just here cheering Foxy Doll on from Facebook or Instagram, you’ve been a part of this little business and this almost-30-year career of mine.

So, truly… thank you. 🖤

I appreciate every single chapter and every single person who has been a part of it.

Another version of our sunroom… because apparently I’m incapable of leaving a room alone. 😂

This is actually a perfect example of how I “edit” our home. I’ll finish a room, love it, live with it for a while… and then one day decide I think it could look better completely different.

So things get moved. Things get added. Things disappear. And sometimes they come right back again. LOL.

This round: a little softer, a little cozier, and definitely a different feel than before.

Andrew’s official review: “It looks like an old lady room now.” 😂

I disagree. But his opinion has been documented.

This is why I call it Foxy Home Editing — your house doesn’t have to stay the same just because you already “finished” it.

FOXY HOME EDITING — BEFORE + AFTER

The foyer & stairway are FINALLY finished!

We went with Mindful Gray on the walls and carried Black Fox onto the stairway and trim—the same trim color we already use throughout the kitchen, dining area and living room.

One of my biggest things when editing a home is making sure each space can have its own look, but still feels connected to the rest of the house. Carrying the Black Fox into this area helped tie the whole downstairs together and made the foyer feel like it actually belongs with everything around it.

Such a difference from where we started. 🖤
