Work begins on the latest rare project. 1969 AMC Hurst SC/Rambler. 1512 built and an estimated 400 known to exist and only 124 remain in driving condition. These cars were built to meet homologation requirements of F/Stock drag racing. AMC sent these Ramblers to Hurst for extensive modifications including the 390 CID from the AMX, special suspension, Thrush chambered mufflers, front disc brakes and the Red, White and Blue paint treatment. These were only available with a 4 speed manual transmission. Excited to get this one back to its glory.

Said farewell to the Model T. I was glad I could get it sold for a customer. I am also excited for the next owner. He plans on taking it on vintage car tours with his brother in law.

Ford 9” tear down. Rare factory 57” wide unit being converted to a trac loc type. I wish I would have weighed it before I started stripping it. Dropping a couple lbs for sure. For those who want to know what it costs to do something like this , ignoring labor and assuming you have a complete axle...
Trac loc and bearing kit $550
Ring and pinion $280
12 in drums with HW andbacking plates $320
Paint misc material $50
Gear oil and additive $50
Total $1250

This can go up and down depending on condition of axle and any upgrades.
