If I could only choose one pattern to make, it would be this one the Mini Stress Ball Buddies Bass.

Pattern available in my Etsy shop, link in bio.

I wanted a fun, eye-catching way to display my Mini Stress Ball Buddies Crayons at my next market… so I decided to make my very own giant crayon box display! 🖍️

I had SO much fun creating this, and I love that it’s not only functional but also feels like a giant version of the product I put so much love into making.

Here’s how I made it:

🖍️ First, I gathered all of my supplies:

• 2 tri-fold presentation boards
• Hot glue gun
• Extra cardboard pieces
• Painter’s tape
• Paint + paintbrushes
• X-Acto knife
• Sharpie markers

📦 Step 1: Creating the box

I glued the two tri-fold boards together with hot glue to create the base of my giant crayon box. Then I cut and glued an extra cardboard piece to create the flap on top and give it that classic crayon box shape.

🎨 Step 2: Painting the base

I painted the entire box bright yellow and let it dry completely.

🟩 Step 3: Adding the design

Using painter’s tape, I created the lines and sections for the design on the front of the box. Then I painted those areas green to mimic the look of a real crayon box.

✏️ Step 4: Adding the details

I traced and stenciled the lettering onto the front of the box to create the word:

“CRAYONS”

I also took the center paper piece from my painter’s tape, painted it red, and added the number “24” using a Sharpie marker to recreate the classic crayon box detail.

📏 Step 5: Creating the perfect display height

I added another piece of cardboard inside the box to create the depth I needed so my crocheted crayons would sit at the perfect height and peek out beautifully from the top.

✨ The finishing touches:

I stenciled “HAND CROCHETED” and “NON-TOXIC” across the front, filled it with my Mini Stress Ball Buddies Crayons, and it was finished!

The best part? It’s almost the same height as my market table, which is exactly what I wanted. I didn’t want a display that would take up all of my table space. I wanted something that would stand out, grab attention, and make people stop to see what was inside.

I can’t wait to see this giant crayon box display at my next craft fair!
