Although VHS is the main squeeze around here, I am just a collector of all things physical media.

One of my recent finds is this GE Radio with a tape deck, which I’ve been using to test cassettes before I list them.

But that hasn’t stopped me from collecting for myself 🫣

Fun fact: this exact Marty Robbins cassette was featured in the series finale of Breaking Bad titled “Felina”. Walter White presses play on B-side of the greatest hits tape, and El Paso comes through the speakers before the case hits the floor.

🚨SPOILER AHEAD

The episode title is much more than just the end, because Felina is the love interest of the cowboy Marty Robbins plays in El Paso. The story goes, that a cowboy steals a ride and flees to Mexico but chooses to return.

“My love is stronger than my fear of death.” He says after being struck by a stray bullet.

And much like Marty, Walter suffers a similar fate in the arms of his lover — no, not Skylar. Alone in his m**h lab, with nothing but chemicals surrounding him.

In a world of Amazon 2 day shipping, nothing is more frustrating than having to wait to get that “package in transit” notification. 📦

Which is why when I get an order, it’s out the next day if I can help it! 🔥

Last night’s whatnot show is all packed and ready to be dropped off at the post office today. This is precedent I wish to set everytime.

Be sure to tune in to the next one, we had a great time and I moved a TON of tapes at steals. 🥷

Facebook marketplace find of the week: The Iron Giant slipcover VHS 🍿🔥

It isn’t the most rare, or hard to find movie. But you really NEVER see them in this format compared to its bulkier clamshell twin.

From my understanding, it may have been a rental exclusive variant rather than a release that didn’t get enough love.
