The most wonderful Mr. John Sebastian of the Lovin’ Spoonful, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and Songwriter’s Hall of Fame in his Living Room playing his Lame Horse Gitjo a few years back. What a fine fellow and a nice man he is. I was such a Lovin’ Spoonful fan in my youth. It has been a real thrill to get to know this man a little bit.

It was a real honor this weekend to have great players like well known jazz musician, Doug Proper, and member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, John Sebastian, play the Lame Horse guitar I had at the Artisan Guitar Show. However, what really thrilled me was the smile on the face of the new owner of the guitar. I know this beautiful young lady is going to be a great player! I’m not mentioning her name for privacy reasons, but I am extremely grateful for the support of her family for Lame Horse Guitars.

This LH 14 model for the Artisan Guitar Show is coming along. The bridge is on. As soon as it has frets, we will string it up and start the final tuning process. We love the beautiful Italian alpine spruce top from the forest of Stradivari, and the one piece sapele back. Sorry for all the reflections in the photos. There will be professional photos next week.

Doug and Sharon are masters of guitar repair and restoration and are the best in the business. They will be presenting us with a boot camp on fret work.
