THIS is what we love to see at Old Dog Outpost! 🐾🔥

A huge THANK YOU to Josh & Beth from Operation Fandom / Blackbird Records Mansfield and everyone else who stopped in today, looked around, asked questions, found a treasure, sold us something cool, or simply took the time to tell us how much you love what we’re building here.
Today included a little gold across the scale… and yeah, that never gets old. 😎💰

But the best part wasn’t the gold. It was the people.

When we started Old Dog Outpost, we wanted it to feel different. Not some stuffy antique shop where you’re afraid to touch anything. Not some corporate store where nobody remembers your name. We wanted a place where you could walk in, dig around, find something weird, something beautiful, something nostalgic, something you didn’t even know you needed… and probably have a few laughs while you’re doing it.
Antiques. Oddities. Collectibles. Candy. Cool old stuff. Ohio State Reformatory stuff. Weird stuff. And whatever the heck walks through the door next.
That’s the fun of it.And hearing people come in and say, “I love this place” or “This is exactly the kind of store Mansfield needed” means more to us than you probably realize.
We’re still building.
Still learning.
Still hunting.
And we’re having an absolute blast doing it.
So to everyone who has walked through our doors, told a friend about us, shared a post, brought something in, bought something, or just hung around and talked for a while…

Ok - Who remembers the PLAYMATES CORKY DOLL? 😍

Before smart devices, the height of interactive tech came in the form of cassette tapes and denim overalls! Introduced by Playmates Toys in 1986, the 25-inch animated talking Corky doll (sister to the famous Cricket doll) was an iconic '80s staple. Outfitted in his signature striped shirt and red sneakers, Corky featured an internal cassette player in his back that brought him to life—syncing his mouth and eye movements while he told stories, joked, and sang songs in a voice provided by child actor Edan Gross.

Fun fact for horror and pop-culture buffs: Corky's distinct visual and mechanical design served as a major real-world inspiration for the "Good Guy" doll, Chucky, in the 1988 movie Child's Play! 🎬✨
