A piece of cycling history rolled into Maplewood Bike Shed today. 🚲🕰️

This incredible antique bicycle was brought into the shop today, and its history may go back more than 100 years , possibly to the World War I era.

Over the decades, it has clearly seen its share of modifications and repairs, but much of its old character

Bikes have stories and some have been around long enough to witness history.

A special thank you to our customer for giving us the opportunity to see and appreciate this incredible piece of cycling history in person. 🚲❤️

💛 Pogačar continues to wear yellow with authority.

💥 Young talents like Isaac Del Toro keep making history.
💔 And unfortunately, Jonas Vingegaard’s Tour ends after a heartbreaking crash.

🚴‍♂️ Tour de France 2026 | Stages 5–8 Recap

The race has completely changed over the last four stages.

🔥 Stage 5: Olav Kooij claimed his first Tour de France victory with a brilliant sprint in Pau.

⛰️ Stage 6: Tadej Pogačar reminded everyone why he’s the man to beat. A devastating attack on the Tourmalet, a 43 km solo ride, the stage win, and the Yellow Jersey.

⚡ Stages 7 & 8: Tim Merlier dominated the sprint finishes with back-to-back victories in Bordeaux and Bergerac, while Pogačar safely defended the race lead.

The Tour is just getting started, but the battle for Paris is heating up.

Just four stages in, and we’ve already seen unforgettable moments:

🟡 A new Yellow Jersey.
🔥 A tactical battle between the favorites.
🏆 A spectacular Stage 4 victory by Mads Pedersen.
💛 An inspiring story as Torstein Træen, a cancer survivor, becomes the new overall leader.

And the best part?

The mountains haven’t even arrived yet. ⛰️

It's been almost six years since Danny Ives, the owner of the Maplewood Bike Shed (MBS), passed away. We spoke with his mother as well as the current owners of the shop as Ives's dream for a bike shop in Maplewood continues to be honored.
