🧡 Recovery Update 🧡

I wanted to share a quick update on my recovery.

I'm happy to say that everything is going well! My healing is progressing as expected, and as of right now, there are no concerns. I'm taking things one day at a time and reminding myself that healing isn't a race.

One thing I've learned through this experience is that the mental aspect of recovery can be just as challenging as the physical part. If you're considering a procedure like this, make sure you're prepared for both. The physical healing is one thing, but slowing down, resting, and allowing yourself the grace to recover can be surprisingly difficult—especially if you're someone who's always on the go like I am.
I've had to remind myself that resting isn't being lazy—it's part of the healing process. While it hasn't always been easy, I know it will all be worth it in the end.

Thank you all for your patience and understanding while Maricopa Flowers is closed. I look forward to getting back to doing what I love and creating beautiful flowers for you again soon. 🧡💐

I think the hardest part of this whole process has been learning to be still.
Anyone who knows me knows I'm a "go get it done" kind of person. Sitting still and allowing my body the time it needs to heal has definitely been a challenge. I have to remind myself that it's okay to rest and that healing is just as important as staying busy.
I know it will all be worth it in the end, and I'm so grateful for everyone's patience, understanding, and support while I recover. It truly means more than you know. 🧡💐

🧡 A Personal Update from Maricopa Flowers 🧡
I don't usually share personal updates on my business page, but since Maricopa Flowers is temporarily closed, I wanted to let everyone know why.
Three years ago, after struggling with my weight for many years, I made the decision to have gastric sleeve surgery. It changed my life. I lost 70 pounds, my knees, hips, and feet no longer hurt, my asthma improved, and I can now enjoy doing things I wasn't able to do before.
After living with the excess skin, I decided it was time to complete my journey. On June 29, I had reconstructive surgery, and I'm happy to say I'm home and recovering well. Healing takes time, and right now my focus is on giving my body the rest it needs so I can return healthy and ready to create beautiful flowers again.
I have been incredibly blessed with an amazing support system throughout this journey. To everyone who has reached out with prayers, kind messages, phone calls, and encouragement—thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your love and support have meant more than you'll ever know.
A very special thank you to Jason. Your love, patience, encouragement, and unwavering support have carried me through every step of this journey. I couldn't have done it without you. I love you.
Thank you for your patience and understanding while Maricopa Flowers is closed for the summer. I can't wait to get back to doing what I love and serving this wonderful community again.
