I had a great time buying all this stuffā€¦ now I have to clean it, research it, take pictures and list it. šŸ˜­šŸ¤£ I swear it multiplies when I get it home.

And my assistant fell asleep at my feet under the desk, so clearly Iā€™m on my own.

Itā€™s a lot sometimes, especially on the days I donā€™t feel good, but I love finding this stuff. Every sale helps our family, and getting to do this with my kids around me makes it worth it.

Thank you for shopping with us, sharing our posts and cheering us on. Now somebody remind me of this pile next time I say Iā€™m I'm going sourcing šŸ¤£

A little behind-the-scenes truth about resellingā€¦

Itā€™s easy to see an item posted online and think, ā€œThey found that for a few dollars and now theyā€™re selling it for more.ā€ But the price tag at the thrift store is only where the work begins.

Iā€™ve been working since I woke up today; sourcing, inspecting every item, researching brands and sold prices, cleaning, removing lint, checking for flaws, taking photos, measuring, writing descriptions, choosing prices and finally posting everything.

Then comes organizing inventory, answering questions, sending offers, packing orders and making sure each purchase reaches its new home safely.

Reselling is treasure hunting, but itā€™s also research, photography, cleaning, customer service, inventory management, shipping and a truly unreasonable amount of laundry. šŸ˜‚

I love finding overlooked pieces and giving them another chance instead of letting them end up in a landfill. But there is a lot of time, care and work behind every listing you see.

So when you shop with a small reseller, you arenā€™t just buying an item; youā€™re supporting all the invisible work that helped you find it. And believe me, every purchase, share and kind comment is deeply appreciated. ā¤ļø

Iā€™m just not into content creation. It isnā€™t fun for me. The part I love is the research and the hunt.

Iā€™m drawn to the old and weird things most people wouldnā€™t give a second glance, the things waiting for that one perfect person who understands what they are. I love finding pieces that tell a story, help a family, or complete someoneā€™s collection.

Now, donā€™t get me wrong. If I find some Ralph Lauren or a Coach purse worth picking up, itā€™s coming home with me too. But thereā€™s so much more to this little job of mine than recognizable labels and quick sales.

My oldest enjoys doing this with me, and along the way, heā€™s gained a real appreciation for these little pieces of history. I canā€™t tell you how many times heā€™s handed me something I completely missed.

Our landfills are full but so are the thrift stores. Sometimes the right thing just needs someone willing to look twice.
